Bifunctional Magnetic-Fluorescent Nanoparticles: Synthesis, Characterization, and Cell Imaging

发文时间:2018-10-27

ABSTRACT: A new type of bifunctional magnetic-fluorescentFe3O4@SiO2-PDI-PAA/Ca2+ nanoparticles has been preparedby coating PDI-cored star polymers (PDI-PAA) onto thesurface of Fe3O4@SiO2 core-shell nanostructures. Themorphology and properties of the composite nanoparticles areinvestigated by tran**ission electron microscopy, ultraviolet-visible spectrometry, fluorescence spectrometry, and vibratingsample magnetometry. The composite nanoparticles display astrong red emission and superparamagnetic behavior at roomtemperature. The cell viability and uptake assays reveal goodbiocompatibility of these hybrid nanoparticles. Hence, thecomposite nanoparticles are of potential to be further explored as therapeutic vector in biomedical field.
