研究领域:
1. 纳米炭材料:开展碳纳米管、石墨烯及螺旋形纳米炭纤维等纳米材料的合成方法、形貌结构、改性及应用性能的研究。
2. 能源炭材料:针对锂离子电池和超级电容器的使用要求,设计、制备新型炭基电极材料,揭示炭材料形貌结构与其电化学性能的相关性。
3. 碳纤维复合材料:开展连续碳纤维增强/增韧陶瓷基和聚合物基复合材料的制备及其应用研究,揭示连续碳纤维与碳纳米管和石墨烯多尺度增强树脂基复合材料的增强机理。
4. 功能材料:设计、制备新型陶瓷基、炭基和手性功能材料,揭示材料形貌结构与性能的相关性。
5. 纳米磁性医用材料:开展纳米磁性材料的合成方法、形貌结构、改性及其医学应用的研究。

作为项目负责人先后主持国家自然科学基金、国家“863”项目、教育部博士点基金(博导基金)、北京市自然科学基金、北京市科技新星计划项目、企业委托项目等20余项。作为技术骨干先后承担国家自然科学基金、国家“863”项目、国家“973”项目、国家科技支撑项目、企业委托项目等30余项。在碳纳米管、石墨烯、高纯石墨、碳纤维复合材料、螺旋形手性吸收剂、碳纤维与碳纳米管和石墨烯多尺度增强树脂基复合材料、锂离子电池负极材料、定向集热肿瘤治疗纳米磁性热籽制备及应用等方面取得显著成绩,1998年获地质矿产部科技成果二等奖1项,2002年入选北京市科技新星计划,2014年获中国石油和化学工业协会科技进步三等奖1项。发表学术论文120余篇,其中被SCI、EI收录100余篇,合著专著1部,获国家发明授权专利16项,申报国家发明专利12项。
