主要从事面向可持续未来的高性能高分子复合材料、动态智能与可循环高分子材料研究,包括:
2. 纳米结构化复合材料与高性能化;
3. 生物可降解高分子及其复合材料;
4. 高分子材料的闭环循环与高值化利用。

先后主持和参与了国家自然科学基金、国家重点研发计划等项目。出版《原子力显微镜及聚合物微观结构与性能》(科学出版社)专著一部,参编英文专著一部;在Science, PNAS,J. Am. Chem. Soc., Adv. Mater., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Macromolecules等期刊上发表SCI论文90余篇;任Polymer副主编;获冯新德高分子奖、橡胶科技创新奖、全国石油和化工优秀科技工作者等荣誉;与美国麻省大学,美国伦斯勒理工学院、东京工业大学等建立了紧密的国际合作。
