研究领域:
聚焦聚氨酯材料研发,研究领域包括特种原料合成、功能材料制备、工业化设计、制品制备和工程应用的聚氨酯材料全链条研发。从2000年开始,担任中国聚氨酯协会理事,《聚氨酯工业》杂质编委,全国塑料标准委员会委员。主要研究方向如下:
(1)聚氨酯特种原料合成,全氟聚醚多元醇、尼龙多元醇和酚醛多元醇等。
(2)聚氨酯功能材料制备,温度/光**响应型聚氨酯材料、形状记忆聚氨酯材料、亲水/油聚氨酯材料、极限(300℃、40MPa、核辐射)聚氨酯材料和石油工程聚氨酯材料等。
(3)聚氨酯工业化及设计,0.2~50万吨/年工程聚氨酯工艺包、1万吨/年铁路桥梁聚氨酯伸缩缝制备全套技术、50万吨/年水性聚氨酯木器漆制备技术。
(4)聚氨酯产品技术研究,大结构聚氨酯聚集态加工-结构-性能关系研究,跨领域聚氨酯材料工程应用。医用聚氨酯鼻腔棉制备技术、备应用技术研究。聚氨酯材料多层次构效关系计算和理论研究。

作为“聚氨酯工程技术中心”负责人,围绕聚氨酯材料进行研究可发。主持开发超过100项聚氨酯材料技术。建有北京化工大学聚氨酯科学实验室、京滨工业园聚氨酯工程实验室和惠州大亚湾聚氨酯应用实验室。在聚氨酯新型材料领域取得了众多成果,其中标志性成果为低模量、高强度、低泊松比聚氨酯材料实现零应力密封功能,成为铁道部标准《TJ/GW120-3013 铁路混凝土桥梁弹性体伸缩缝技术条件》起草者,成功应用于超过1.3万公里高铁应用。作为项目负责人,近5年承担/完成国家自然科学基金项目等国家级项目1项,省部级项目1项,企事业单位委托项目100余项。在国内外重要学术期刊发表论文20余篇(SCI收录15余篇)、申请专利近20余项(已授权15项)。
