从事复合材料复合加工、高性能化和功能化研究。承担澳大利亚研究理事会项目、教育部新世纪优秀人才项目、国家杰出青年科学基金项目、北京市科技计划课题、国家自然科学基金委员会面上项目、重点项目、重大项目课题、联合基金重点项目、以及企业合作开发项目。设计并制备了一系列高性能、多功能聚合物共混物、复合材料、纳米复合材料以及纳米杂化材料。发表学术期刊论文350余篇,被引用32800余次,H因子93。
